I think the title of this post 'unique and individual designs' sums up my attitude towards jewellery design. I strongly believe what sets Stones Dacre Scissors apart from others is the fact I don't mass produce items and I rarely make more than one or two of a particular item.
One thing you won't find on the Stones Dacre Scissors website is cheap plastic beading where the coating comes off and the finish spoils. I feel it is so important to have affordable, wearable, high quality jewellery that lasts, which is why I use glass beads or semi precious stones.
Haematite is one of my favourite semi precious stones to use and has proven very popular with the public too. Haematite has that 'not quite black, not quite silver' and almost metallic looks that suits everyone. Black can be a harsh colour to wear in jewellery and also in winter can look a bit depressing! Haematite gives off a lovely soft sheen and glow when worn next to the skin. In my new collection for 2013 I have designed some earrings using haematite beads in different shapes, (as opposed to the square beads of last year).
Also I have made some earrings in the new collection with '925' sterling silver earring hooks. (For more information on sterling silver findings please go to the Help page) Many people cannot wear plated metal earring wires so I wanted to make an effort to find something that would solve this problem.
Look out for new unique and individual designs coming to Stones Dacre Scissors. If you see something you like, treat yourself!
